Elektronische expansiekleppen (EEV) zijn ontworpen voor gebruik in airconditioning en koelsystemen of in warmtepompen. De klep regelt de automatische aanpassing van de stroomsnelheid van de koelmiddel en zorgt ervoor dat het systeem onder geoptimaliseerde omstandigheden werkt met het oog op snelle koeling of verwarming, precieze temperatuurregeling en energiebesparing. De klep kan ook worden gebruikt, bijv. Voor zuiglijndrukcontroles. Deze kleppen bieden bidirectionele werking om de stroomsnelheid van de koelmiddel in de verwarmings- of koelmodus te regelen.
